Where Children Sleep

A friend sent around this powerful photography project exploring where children sleep around the world. James Mollison's work was featured in the New York Times blog, and I've been fascinated by the glimpse he shows of each one of these kids' lives. I was just talking to a friend the other day about city kids sleeping in closets, and after looking at these pictures, I'm pretty convinced that city closets are luxurious places for kids to sleep.

Old Photo Maker

My friend Caitlyn just found this totally random Japanese website that makes your photos look old. She took one of her pictures from our wedding and put it through there, and look how it turned out! How cool is that? Way to go Cait for being a pioneer in finding obscure and amazing internet tools.

October 23

We've had a lot of fun reliving our wedding day through pictures that our friends have posted like this one:

But I'm excited to announce that our professional wedding pictures are finally here! Right here!

I'm sure I'll be sharing more on this blog once I get the disk from our awesome photographer, Rachel Williamson, but until then, enjoy.

Drinking out of a camera lens

Isn't this camera lens mug funny? I kind of love it. You can get one here (PhotoJojo is based in the Mission in SF!)

Paris

Paris has been on my mind a lot lately, maybe because it's been getting so much airtime on all of my daily blog reads - here, here, and here, for a start.  I've been really lucky to get to go to Paris twice this year already, and I'm SO thankful that Jonny is back in San Francisco rather than working in Paris. But still, I'm itching for a reason to go back!

Engagement Photo Shoot

I'm so thrilled with the engagement photos that Josh Petersen took last weekend. I think he did such a good job and it's hard to believe that this was his first time ever doing anything like this. The weather in these pictures makes it look like we spread this shoot across several days or several seasons, but these were all taken on the same Saturday afternoon in San Francisco. Thanks so much, Josh!

Josh Petersen

We hung out with our good friend Josh Petersen this weekend brunching, exploring, and taking shots all around San Francisco. Josh just gave me all the photos he took, and we were thrilled with how everything turned out. I'm in the process of going through them, and I'll be sure to post more soon.

Yellow Dresses

I just spent the week in Nashville working and interspersing it with a little bit of wedding planning and shopping for bridesmaids dresses. We now have a church, a reception venue (almost), a wedding planner, and I got to meet with Tec! I also got to meet up with a lot of close friends in the five days I was home, and even though it was a stressful week to pack everything in, it was good. I'm obsessed with this photo (above) that Jocelyn sent me, and it has truly inspired my thinking about a color palette for October 23.

Loving on Tec Petaja

I've been pretty indecisive when it comes to making decisions about our wedding, but there is one thing I'm sure of: we want Tec Petaja as our photographer. Below is a sampling of some of my favorite photos from his website, but I love all of his work.
