This is what I get for going to Starbucks in Paris...
I decided to go to the Starbucks on the Champs Elysees to work for a little while today, which was a bad choice for a number of reasons.
Someone spilled their entire cup of coffee on my chair, my boots, my computer, and the floor in front of me.
I don't know French, so I didn't know how to be nice and say it was ok. Instead, I'm sure I just looked like a brat as I silently cleaned my stuff off and moved away to another table while the Starbucks employee came with a mop to clean up the rest.
Starbucks doesn't have free internet.
They don't have free internet in the US either, but for some reason, other times I've visited Starbucks in Europe I've been able to sign in for free. Instead, here, it costs 4 Euro for 1 hour.
Their expensive wi-fi isn't even fast.
No, it isn't.
I'm sitting inside with no windows to see out and see snowy Paris.
Dumb mistake on my part, which is why I'll only be staying here ~20 minutes longer (I've gotta get my money's worth of this internet!)
But as much as I'm complaining about Parisian Starbucks, I can't complain about being able to work in Paris for a second week. Thank you Kiva!
