You may know that I am not the fondest of Canada since that's where my boy has been every Monday through Thursday for the past six months, but I'm going to set my beef with the country aside for a minute to talk about this awesome Canadian jewelry designer, Julia Vallelunga of La Raffinerie. 

I just came across this, and I'm loving the way she took inspiration from ancient tribal jewelry but built her pieces with silk and satin so that they're totally wearable and not too overly tribal. Here are some favorites, and they're actually very reasonably priced too:
